JASON D.

One month in and I have not added water once to the pool. Not the cheapest pool filling sensor, but very good quality and you get what you pay for. Very happy with this purchase.

I easily self installed the level, smart wireless auto fill, and it works like a champ. Now I don’t have to worry about filling my pool especially when I am on vacation I would recommend this for every pool owner

Mike C.

Works perfectly. Water level will always be at the right height to prevent pump damage. Gives us peace of mind so we don’t have to worry when pool water evaporates from the heat. Very satisfied.

LUCKY

Incredible piece of tech , only had it installed a few days but works great , I hated my previous auto fill this is so much better and not a hose across deck , at this price better directions and a good video would reduce anxiety but great idea and product

LINDSEY M.

We install the LevelSmart often for our customers and we have yet to have a disappointed customer. Kona Labs has great customer service and a fantastic product!

Very Happy Repeat Customer !

"Easy to install and has worked flawlessly. I had the wired version for many years and decided to replace it after the water level probe failed but the electronics were without any fault for years! I am a dedicated fan of Kona Labs now for offering me an easy solution to a poorly designed and antiquated pool plumbing system."

Outstanding unit

"Purchased the product this spring and couldn’t be more pleased. In addition to the performance of the unit the video help to guide you through installation is first rate. I would like to see a video published to guide the user through winterizing the unit for the end of season. Thank you."

Pool fill

"With two separate vacation rental properties in south Florida I had to continuously monitor the water level. Adding water at least once a week. The level smart has worked flawlessly now for over 3 months. Huge time saver."

Finally an autofill I can trust

"I have been waiting for a autofill system that not only I can trust, but one with daily information about my pool. I ended up getting another one for my spa. The best purchase I've made this year"

Judy (5/5)

Autofill works perfectly!

"Recently installed the LevelSmart Wireless Autofill after finding no other solution that does not require running hose to pool. My pool equipment is 75' from the pool, with skimmer adjacent to stone coping and stone pavers (stone cover for skimmer lid vice plastic). I ended up mounting antenna on top of a 3' piece of 1/4" PVC tubing to keep it away from any metal. Like other online, I housed the pool equipment-side components in weather-resistant electrical housings just to keep rain elements off as much as possible. Installing the components was very simple. . . if you are comfortable doing DIY w/ PCV, installing this inline w/ pool plumbing is simple. Installing the sensor in the pool skimmer was seamless; however, you may want to measure height of your skimmer inlet prior to installation just to make sure there is enough room - especially if it's tiled. Mine is tiled and I only had 1/2" clearance on either side. Syncing sensor took 2 tries - prob because I didn't have magnet in the exact proper location. It has been 2-3 weeks since it has been installed and no issues!! No more dragging hose to fill the pool or worrying about low pool levels when on vacation!"

Q&A

I have somehow managed to misplace the little magnet that came with our LevelSmart Wireless Autofill. The autofill is programmed and is working, but someday there will be need for the magnet again. How do I get a replacement? Thank you. Boyd Foster Oakwood Community Pool 7469 Bandera Ct. Athens, TX 75752 214-533-7954
Hello, You can use any magnet that is on the stronger side of a fridge magnet, but note that the polarity might be a little off if using a different magnet so you may have to move it a around a bit. To get a new magnet from us, just call us at 808-345-4637.
Is there a number I can call for support . We had ours installled last year and it worked perfectly. Now we are restarting it for summer and it wont work. We bought it thru Prianos in cda Idaho and they have gone out of business. Is there a store selling it in CDA
Hello, You can call (888) 635-0296. Thanks!
How often does the wireless sensor need to be replaced? Its sealed so I am guessing its not serviceable for batteries?
Hi John, Thanks for the question. The battery is sealed in the sensor for quality purposes. In a pool environment we have chemicals, moisture and electronics so to get any life out of a battery, we sealed it. After 4-6 years you will need to replace the sensor unit.
I have a 5' x 30' formal fountain with (5) frothy fountain nozzles. I would like to install the sensor in the overflow / water fill box that is mounted in the side wall of the fountain behind a stainless steel cover (the cover has bushings that create a gap to allow water in and out of the box). The water level is a agitated when operating so it is necessary to have the sensor (or float value - though not enough room for it to fit)located in the box. The overflow box is a Wall Mount Fill/Overflow Box by EasyPro. My question is will controller pick up the sensor signal if is located in the BOX?
Hi Howard, This should work but the stainless steel cover gives me a bit of concern. Could you email me a photo of this cover/box so I can take a look to give you a more precise and confident answer? My email is Ryan@Konalabs.com. Thank you
Hi, We have a large lazy river in Boulder City, NV. (Near Las Vegas and Lake Mead, so HOT & DRY in the summer! ) Approx 120,000 gallons. Really excited about this product for auto fill as the Pentair and old school toilet filler are unable to keep up, and are unreliable. Looking at the LevelSmart, I see it opens 7 min every hour... That I believe is about 12% of the time Maximum. Depending on actual GPM we can get, pretty sure that wont keep up on extremeley hot, windy and dry days. Can those numbers be adjusted on a custom unit? Concerned with a 3/4" water source in our pool pump room, 2 units wont necesarily solve the problem either unless they could be timed to always be non concurrent? We are a real buyer and an immediate buyer. 1 for lazy river, one for a pond, waterwheel and falls water feature we are wantong to isolate from the river and one for our jumping rock pool. So need 3, 1 altered to open more if possible. Thank You! Thank You!
Hi Richard, We can absolutely do a custom time for you. In this instance we recommend a 25 minute fill. So it will fill for 50 minutes on the hour and continue to fill whenever the water is not up to par. Please call me at (808) 345-4637 to place the custom order for these units.
We have a pool with a connected spa which is elevated. We would like to use one LevelSmart to fill both. The water would enter the spa and then fill up to the spillway and then spill into the pool filling both to the desired levels. This means the fill would go into the spa but the sensor would be in the pool. One potential problem is that if the spa level should happen to go down but not the pool, no additional water would be forthcoming. So my question is this: With the Wireless version, is there the ability to manually activate the Hunter Valve remotely via the internet?
Hi Gene, If this is a pool spa combo it will be no issue. The spa will over flow into the pool filling the pool when the pool level reads low. The Online kit does not allow valve control at this time as it presents liability issues and actually in a lot of cases, the same issue as to why people purchase the autofill - to prevent a valve being left on and over filling. The best way to do this would be to get one unit for the spa, and one for the pool. Hope this helps! Feel free to call me at (808) 345-4637 to discuss further
My levelsmart is not working. Been less than a year old. Pls call me to resolve problem. 8082843801 Michelle
Aloha Michelle, Happy to have been able to help you out! If you need anything else in the future please reach out.
Can 2 be installed in the same area? We have 2 pools side by side and want one for each.
Yes, multiple units can be installed in the same proximity. Just make sure that you are pairing them one at a time to ensure the connection is successful for all units.
Can this operate with pump running, I'm concerned about pump pressure pushing water into water feed when the water file valve is open.. Is there an anti syphon check value to prevent this?
It is always a good idea to place a check valve here just to be sure, but in our experience and tests we have never had the water pressure be overridden by the pump causing the water flow to be backwards
Can we use it in Europe with a 230V power supply?
Yes, the LevelSmart can be used with a 230V Power Supply in Europe.
Will the signal from the level Smart interfere with other electronics such as my Pentair Screen Logic?
No, the LevelSmart will not interfere with other technology like the pentair screen logic
I need a replacement power supply for the auto-fill
Please contact support at support@konalabs.com and we can get you taken care of
We have a vanishing edge pool and are thinking of installing your system in the catch basin to monitor water levels. How does your unit cope with temporary surge from from over the weir wall or a temporary drop in water when the catch basin pump first kicks in to run the edge effect?
Using LevelSmart in a vanishing edge application is no issue. The sensor is completely water tight and can be submerged, once the water level drops below the sensor it will recognize this and add water as needed.
Can connecting water supply to discharge side of pump possibly cause cavitation or pump pressure be less from pump than that of water supply cause issue?
Connecting to the discharge side of the pump will not be an issue and has never appeared to be an issue on any of the thousands of LevelSmarts in the field today.
Hi, we have a couple customers where your product could be helpful. One is an engineer, so he asked a good question(s): Tell us about the battery. Expected life span? Is it user replaceable, if not, what happens? Do we replace the whole transmitter? If it is replaceable, what are specs on battery? Thanks!
Aloha! The expected life span of the sensor battery is 4-6 years under proper care. Once the battery dies, you simply replace the entire sensor with a new one, and it will pair up with your existing controller.
Can this be mounted in side the opening of the skimmer to hide it. I have a unground liner pool so I am limited to either the. skimmer or the steps.
yes, it may require drilling two small holes and fasten with screws
